- To provide a forum for members to exchange information and advice
- To draw attention to, and monitor and comment on developments and major issues including the three yearly District Plan, planning and licensing applications, cultural activities, traffic management, car parking, community safety and policing
- To co-ordinate a response on behalf of residents to any objections or changes to planning applications
- to respond to any other issues that affect the quality of life that might be raised by residents including:
- vandalism
- litter
- graffiti
- anti-social behaviour
- conservation (buildings, parks and open spaces)
- preservation
- over development of town centre
- retail developments
- conservation issues
